The goats come mainly from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, where they have a wonderful, species-appropriate life on the pasture, alpine pasture and dike. A conscious decision was made against organic: When keeping organic goats, the focus is usually more on milk production than on meat production for economic reasons. This means that the rather "unprofitable" lambs are separated from the mother and used for meat production. This is not the case with the goats whose meat is used. Grazing and using the entire herd to protect the landscape bring additional income to the farms, which means that the entire herd, mostly sheep and goats, mothers and lambs, can be kept together.
